CCRI’s founding partners combined their complementary expertise, resources and available infrastructure to support and meaningfully enable the establishment of the CCRI.

The University of Cyprus

The University of Cyprus is the largest university & main research organization in Cyprus. A young but rapidly expanding university in several research areas  including teams focusing on cancer research. It currently employs about 700 young scientists using external research funds.

The Bank of Cyprus Oncology Centre

The Bank of Cyprus Oncology Centre has been the largest dedicated cancer hospital for solid and hematological malignancies in the country since 1998. It manages approximately 60-70% of all newly diagnosed cases of cancer in Cyprus every year. BOCOC is a not-for-profit tertiary referral Centre.

The Karaiskakio Foundation

The Karaiskakio Foundation is the largest diagnostic and research centers in the field of haemato-oncology in the country. It is home of the Cyprus Bone Marrow Donor Registry. KF operates Integrated Multidisciplinary Diagnostic Laboratories in Cellular Pathology and Immunology and in Molecular Pathology Oncology.

George and Kaiti David Foundation​

The George and Kaity David Foundation donated more than €6 million euros towards the construction of the first phase of CCRI’s facilities. Their donation was instrumental in the establishment of the Institute and the development of its state-of-the-art facilities. Mr. and Mrs. David are recognized as CCRI’s great benefactors of the CCRI. The first phase of CCRI’s facilities, built with a donation from the George and Kaity David Foundation, totals 3111 square meters and is named “Nicola David-Pinedo Building.
