Energy approach

Reduce heating and cooling demand through proper design

Use efficient heating/cooling systems

Natural lighting

Natural ventilation

Use of sunlight

Shading of the building

The design philosophy focuses on

1

In particular, an external thermal insulation system was used, the thickness of which was determined by a techno-economic analysis in order to significantly reduce losses. At the same time, the thermal mass inside the structure can absorb excess heat gains in summer due to the presence of people and activities, reducing the possibility of overheating. The design of openings in terms of the glazing/shading technology used and their positioning in the building also contributes to the summer function. The latter maximizes the potential for through ventilation.

2

Use of ecological materials inside the building to improve air quality. Certified paints and materials with limited and/or zero VOC emissions have been used.
