The main goal of the CCRI is to create a world-class cancer research hub in Cyprus that will facilitate basic and translational research projects in cancer that will span early cancer detection, diagnosis & classification, prevention, treatment and monitoring.
Our mission is to promote high caliber cancer research in Cyprus and to breed the next generation of cancer research scientists.
Your donation to the CCRI, will ensure that the Institute has the necessary resources to conduct cutting-edge research programs, enhance its research capabilities and continue to pursue tackling cancer priorities where is mostly needed. All donations, no matter what size, will enable us to continue this vital work.
Working alongside our global network of research teams, partners, and advocates, we will fund scientists from around the world to conduct the most promising research—all while promoting awareness, sharing up-to-date cancer information, and inspiring lifelong advocacy for cancer research. Dedicated cancer scientists, researchers, clinicians, and scholars will comprise the driving force of CCRI’s development. Our aim is to perform high-quality research, contributing to the improvement of current knowledge on cancer complexity, ultimately improving outcomes for cancer patients. CCRI will be focusing on specific areas of basic and translational research building on existing and locally/regionally relevant fields to create its own niche.
For research efforts to flourish, researchers should be supported by offering them state-of-the-art infrastructure. For this reason, CCRI aspires to offer Core Facilities & Services that will help create a fully integrated and cohesive cancer research environment. We accept donations that would cover the full cost of purchasing advanced equipment, the annual cost of running a core facility, acquisition of state-of-the-art technologies and research and innovation facilitation capabilities.
The CCRI has several ongoing projects ranging from strengthening the cancer research capabilities to inhouse teams working on ground-breaking cancer research. We accept general donations which CCRI will be used at the discretion of the Board of Directors and directed to where the need is greatest to support existing projects. For example, your donation will be ensuring that our laboratories remain kitted with all the essential chemicals, reagents and apparatuses that are core to carrying out all our research.
