George Vassiliou is Professor of Haematological Medicine at the University of Cambridge, Cancer Research UK Senior Fellow and Consultant Haematologist at Cambridge University Hospitals.

Molecular Biology – Professor Rami Aqeilan

Prof. Rami Aqeilan is the Scientific Director of CCRI, leading research on cancer mechanisms. He also heads IMRIC and is a Professor at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Genomics and Advanced Diagnostics
Supporting research work under the Genetics and Omics Cancer Research direction and led by Dr Pavlos Costeas.

Clinical Studies and Clinical Trials
Concentrating in leading the research activities under the Clinical Cancer Research direction and led by Dr Demetris Papamichael.

The team started work in June 2021 and will receive the total amount of €225,000 in funding from the CCRI to carry out the projects: Expansion of the Infrastructure of the Clinical Trials Unit of the Bank of Cyprus Oncology Centre.
